Women are spending longer online than men, the first time a survey has reported this trend.

Women are spending longer online than men, the first time a survey has reported this trend. NetValue reported that during May 2001 the 13.9 million people who logged on from home comprised 58% men and 42% women. However, women spent an average of 426 minutes online during the month, or 15 minutes a day, compared to men who spent 414 minutes online, a daily average of 13 minutes 20 seconds.

It should be noted, however, that these figures for time online have not increased much over the past 12 months.
