The New Zealand government is consulting over whether to review the ways in which charities are taxed.

The New Zealand government is consulting over whether to review the ways in which charities are taxed. Their consultation document also invites discussion on updating the legal definition of a charity. In this way, New Zealand joins countries including Canada and Scotland in looking at a new, more relevant definition of charitable status.
