Scottish charities have won one year’s grace before paying steep increases in their water bills. The Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations has estimated that the withdrawal of relief from the bills for charities will cost the sector £27m a year. Until the relief was withdrawn on 6th April, charities enjoyed 80% reductions.
