US online donation processor e-contributor.com is to be taken over by Charitex.

“The combined company creates a new benchmark in fundraising solutions,” said Peter Martino, president and CEO of CharitEx, who will head the combined company. “The addition of the eContributor online fundraising engine is an ideal complement to the CharitEx cash management and donor relationship management systems.”

eContributor was founded in January 1999 and its clients number more than 430 organizations including AARP, the Million Mom March and B’nai B’rith.
