Search engine company Google has created ” University Search” to let people narrow their search to university-only Web sites. This should prove useful not only for admissions information and course schedules but also, as Google points out, alumni news.

In addition Google is offering its SiteSearch and WebSearch services to educational institutions worldwide at no cost.
