Trocaire, the official overseas Development Agency of the Catholic Church in Ireland, has appointed AMA Charity Services Ltd to handle inbound calls for their Global Gift Plan campaign in Northern Ireland.

Trocaire is dedicated to raising public awareness of international poverty and injustice and one of its primary aims is to offer support to development programmes in some of the world’s poorest countries.

The Global Gift Plan campaign will involve a brochure mail out to 30,000 existing supporters, who can choose from a range of practical and unusual gifts. These are priced from £10 to £140. Some interesting gifts include mosquito nets for Malaria affected areas, and a worm kit to produce fertiliser and ensure more plentiful harvests.
