War Child UK in corruption scandal
The Guardian today reports that Luciano Pavarotti walked out of War Child UK, the overseas aid charity that attracted star support from the music industry, after it was discovered that its co-founder had taken a bribe from contractors building a music centre in Bosnia. Pavarotti’s departure was followed by five other celebrity patrons amd 11 trustees over the past two years

Pavarotti’s departure was followed by five other celebrity patrons amd 11 trustees over the past two years.
The Charity Commission was informed and says that now new trustees have the management restructuring well in hand.
