Youth homeless charity Centrepoint took the plunge this week by inviting other charities and supporters to test out its new Web site before it is launched next month.

Youth homeless charity Centrepoint took the plunge this week by inviting other charities and supporters to test out its new Web site before it is launched next month.
The volunteer testers, which included UK Fundraising’s Howard Lake, first discussed the principles of good Web site design, and then their expectations of a Web site from Centrepoint. Then they all explored the site themselves, providing instant feedback on navigation, content, brand proposition and effectiveness.

Each volunteer tested the site in a number of ways, looking for specific information, and judging the quality of the information provided from the point of view of different types of user.
