Harvard to fundraise via e-mail
Harvard University is planning to launch a fundraising campaign using e-mail starting in January. A test e-mail campaign this Spring to 4,000 alumni produced $38,000 from 200 respondents. One gift was for $10,000. The university has 90,000 e-mail addresses of alumni.
In the year to June 2000 it estimated it had raised $100,000 online, still a small percentage of the $485 million it raised in total.
