Charityfree.com launches givebar surfboard

Charityfree.com have launched a givebar in the form of a surfboard. The eSurfBoard raises funds through the usual deals with corporate sponsors who contribute income for each clickthrough or sale generated. “Every time you click on an icon within your customised CharityFree eSurfBoard,” says CharityFree.com, “CharityFree earns 5 UK pence, of which it then donates a non-taxable 80% (4 UK pence) to charity.”

The Charityfree site does not make it clear where Charityfree.com is based. Also, although the site launched earlier this summer, there are only three charities listed as participating – ICRF, Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, and “Rainforest.”
