With only 7% of the public in the affected areas aware of what their new numbers will be, according to telecoms industry body The Big Number, it is essential that charities get their relevant systems reprogrammed to handle the change. And that includes checking that your telephone number is published correctly on your Web site, an obvious alternative route for many supporters keen to contact you but who encounter a failed connection tone on their ‘phone.
