Today, 6th April, charitable giving in the UK underwent a major change. Any donation of £1 or more to a registered charity can be tax-efficient and therefore worth more to the charity at no extra cost to the donor. Even better, donations from payroll are not only tax-efficient, they will also attract a 10% additional “donation” from the government.
