You might have thought that some people would pay good money to see Lady Thatcher’s head on a plate. That was no doubt the thought in the minds of the fundraisers at the Cartoon Art Trust last week who were auctioning a Spitting Image puppet of the former Prime Minister to raise funds.
You might have thought that some people would pay good money to see Lady Thatcher’s head on a plate. That was no doubt the thought in the minds of the fundraisers at the Cartoon Art Trust last week who were auctioning a Spitting Image puppet of the former Prime Minister to raise funds. Sadly for them, no-one was prepared to pay the asking price of £2,500 for the latex lampoon at the Bonham’s auction.
Nevertheless, the Cartoon Art Trust had the last laugh. They raised over £12,000 on the night.
