Charity Logistics today launched a free Internet access service for UK charities and their supporters.

Charity Logistics today launched a free Internet access service for UK charities and their supporters. Charityvfree.com is a partnership between Charity Logistics, the charity that helps other charities achieve their objects effectively, efficiently and economically, and Voss Net plc, the Internet Access Provider.

Charityvfree is available with no sign up fee, no hourly charges, no subscription charge, unlimited access, multiple e-mail accounts, 15Mb free Web space, and local call rate. In case you were wondering, the help line for subscribers is also available at local rate, unlike some other recent entrants to the free Internet account market.

More significantly, Charityvfree offers a method of raising funds for participating charities. Voss Net is giving a share of the local call cost, incurred while people are online, to the user’s chosen charity via Charity Logistics. UK Fundraising’s Howard Lake was at the launch to hear Charity Logistics claim this as “a World first for the UK” and a “charity Internet revolution”.

Voss Net and Charity Logistics were joined at the launch in London’s Millbank by Margaret Moran MP on behalf of the Parliamentary IT Committee.
