The National Lottery Charities Board (NLCB) has now made grants to charities and voluntary groups totalling £1 billion since its first grant in 1995.
The National Lottery Charities Board (NLCB) has now made grants to charities and voluntary groups totalling £1 billion since its first grant in 1995. A grant of £359,063 to the Children’s Discovery Centre in East London took the Board to the billion total. The NLCB is now the UK’s largest general purpose grant-maker, and has awarded more than 18,000 grants to voluntary organisations.
