Edinburgh Festival tickets on sale online for the first time

The Edinburgh Festival is now offering tickets for sale online for the first time. With donated servers from Compaq, the arts organisation is running a ticket sales pilot . However, the system isn’t linked to the box office database, so only a set number of tickets in each block of each venue are available for purchase online. The Royal Bank of Scotland is handling the online credit card transactions, but there is a 5% premium on tickets bought online.
