Mencap has teamed up with personal finance magazine Moneywise to raise funds via the Moneywise Ask the Professionals FT-SE Charity Challenge.
Investment expert Brian Dennehy and 100 others are hoping to raise at least £2,000 on a six-day sponsored hike through the Hindu Kush mountain range. They are asking Moneywise readers to help by estimating the FT-SE level at the close of business on Friday 30 October 1998. Each projection should be sent in with a £5 donation to Mencap. The winner will receive a £1,000 cash prize that has been kindly donated in support of Mencap by Standard Life fund management.
