No sign of Internet fundraising awards in the UK

The 1998 ICFM/Professional Fundraising Awards have added further categories, but they still do not include an Internet fundraising award.

For the first time the 1998 Awards will recognise Trust Fundraising, Major Donor Development, and Capital Campaigns. Mike Lancaster, Chairman of the Awards Working Party, said “by listening to the comments of entrants, also those who didn’t enter this year, we have widened the entry categories, while ensuring a transparency to the judging process which should make things easier for both entrants and judges.”

So, will UK fundraisers’ innovative use of the Internet as a medium be recognised by its national membership body before the end of the Millennium?
