ICFM issues warning

Howard Lake | 8 November 1997 | News

The Institute of Charity Fundraising Managers (ICFM) has issued a warning in its printed members newsletter about a Mr Freedman who has approached a charity with the intention of obtaining the organisation’s bank account details.

Mr Freedman said he was a director of a company called European Pallas Group and that he wished to make a company donation.

ICFM was careful to point out that this approach might be entirely innocent, but “the provision of your banking details is privileged information and might well lead to a potential breach of security for funds held therein.”
