Partnering

The Virgin Group launched Virgin Unite in 2004, a non-profit foundation, which unites people and entrepreneurial ideas to create opportunities for a better world.  At Virgin Unite, 100% of donations go directly to where it is needed the most.

Over the past 15 years Jean Oelwang, the founding CEO and Trustee of Virgin Unite, has worked with partners to lead the incubation and start-up of several global initiatives, including: The Elders, The B Team, The Carbon War Room (successfully merged with the RMI), Ocean Unite, The Caribbean Climate Smart Accelerator, 100% Human at Work, The Virgin Unite Constellation and The Branson Centres of Entrepreneurship.

She also played a key partner role in the incubation of many other initiatives such as The Audacious Project and The New Now.

Jean has interviewed more than 60 businesses and life partnerships in order to bring this book together. She highlights practical tools which people and businesses can use to maintain deep connections, as well as her experience in expanding a small partnership like Virgin Unite into a large-scale collaboration.

Jean says:

Packed with wisdom to nourish the relationships that give us strength and meaning, Partnering is a call-to-action for individuals resisting individualism to lead with purpose and impact.
