Coca-Cola Ireland reopens Thank You Fund

Howard Lake | 6 June 2012 | News

For the second year running Coca-Cola is investing €125,000 in the Coca Cola Thank You Fund in Ireland.
This money will be granted to not-for-profit community, voluntary and charitable organisations across the island of Ireland. Last year, the Fund’s inaugural year, a total of 15 grants were made to non-profit, voluntary and charitable organisations. These grants helped to support social and education programmes aimed at youth, healthy and active lifestyles, and environmental leadership.
In 2012, the Fund will award grants to selected organisations that are delivering initiatives under the theme ‘Supporting an Innovative Approach to the Promotion of Active Lifestyles in Irish Communities’. One grant of €25,000 will be made to one organisation and 10 grants of €10,000 to a further 10 groups.
Coca-Cola are looking for new projects and ideas that capture the imagination and are providing significant benefits to a group of people or a broad community. Ideally, the project should be one that can be scaled and adopted by communities in other parts of the country.
Coca‑Cola, through the Fund, will distribute €125,000 to community and voluntary groups throughout the island of Ireland that have developed an innovative initiative or project which encourages communities to lead active lifestyles.
Applications will be made online via Coca-Cola’s website. The deadline for applications is 6 July 2012.
The Coca‑Cola Thank You Fund partners are The Wheel and the Northern Ireland Council for Voluntary Action
