Crumbling Twitter avatar raises funds for Red Cross

For a $10 donation to the Red Cross you can let your Twitter avatar image crumble and then rebuild over a 60 hour period.
The idea of Georgia Tech Professor Eric Gilbert, the ‘When Things Fall Apart’ campaign is designed to mirror the work of the Red Cross, rebuilding communities that have been torn apart by natural disaster.
The campaign launched in April 2012.
