World 'cup' record attempt by The Stroke Association

The wonderful thing about world records is that there seems to be an inexhaustible supply of ideas for new ones. Can’t be the world’s fastest runner, tallest woman, or wealthiest business person? Don’t worry: you can always try for the world’s longest bra chain.
But get in line, because the The Stroke Association is getting involved in this world ‘cup’ record (can you see why I blogged about this one?) with an attempt to link over 200,000 bras stretching over 100 miles, while raising funds and awareness of stroke.
The attempt will take place at Worcester Racecourse from 11.00 on 31 July 2011, where you can help the charity’s staff, take part in the activities and show your support for stroke.
Stroke survivors, staff and volunteers from The Stroke Association donated nearly 500 bras to be part of the chain. They are still accepting any old bras, so you are invited to come along and add your bra.
Sophie James from The Stroke Association said: “Our event is not only a great day out, but a great conversation piece over dinner or in your local. I hope everyone comes and shows their support.”
Oh! I was going to use that one…
I’ll just have to pad this one out then.
