Promenaders’ Musical Charities has distributed approximately £80,000 raised during the 2022 BBC Proms season to four beneficiary charities: Help Musicians, Young Lives vs Cancer, Brass for Africa, and Lost Chord.

This represents a return to significant in-person collecting at the Royal Albert Hall following the COVID-19 pandemic years. A small allowance was retained to meet the rising costs involved in running collections.

Help Musicians supports professional musicians facing hardship. Young Lives vs Cancer (formerly CLIC Sargent) supports children and young people with cancer and their families. Brass for Africa supports music education through brass bands in sub-Saharan Africa. Lost Chord UK uses music therapy to improve the lives of people living with dementia.
