Tesco for Schools & Clubs vouchers now available

The Tesco for Schools & Clubs scheme is open again, offering UK schools and clubs the chance to acquire a variety of useful items in exchange for vouchers earned with shopping bought at Tesco. Last year the scheme gave over 440,000 pieces of equipment worth £9.3million to schools and clubs around the country.
All schools in the UK are eligible to take part in the scheme, whether nursery, infant, primary, junior, middle, secondary or special needs. So too are all amateur clubs which are registered with their recognised governing body or local authority and which cater for children under the age of 18.
Participating schools simply have to promote the scheme to parents, carers, and the public. One voucher is given for every £10 spent in Tesco stores and petrol filling stations in a single transaction (with some exclusions). At Tesco Express stores one voucher is given for every £5 spent.
There are other ways to collect vouchers including 20 vouchers for donating a working mobile phone for recycling, and five for a non-working phone. Empty inkjet cartridges donated for recycling will also generate 10 vouchers.
Tesco offers a range of free downloadable support materials to help organisations promote the scheme, including an A3 poster, PR toolkit, A4 letterhead and totaliser poster.
The vouchers are available from 28 February to 8 May 2011. There are separate later deadlines for donating old ink cartridges and old mobile phones. The deadline for receipt of orders and vouchers is 1 July 2011.
