IoF London conference last speakers confirmed
Just four weeks to go to the Institute of Fundraising London region’s annual conference and the programme is up and running on its dedicated website www.ioflondon.org.uk
The two-day conference on 30 November and 1 December promises to be a mine of information, learning and thinking in the sector. Tony Elischer’s Futurology plenary on Day 1 looks to the future at some of the latest thinking that could help you in your future fundraising.
On Day 2, the day starts with a plenary from Jo Swinhoe, head of fundraising and marketing at the Alzheimer’s Society, explaining why fundraising must be at the heart of every organisation and what fundraisers can do to make sure that happens – from the smallest to the biggest organisation. Jo has seen fundraising grow exponentially at the Alzheimer’s Society and her plenary will include ideas you can take away and use in your job.
Thirty-two workshop sessions over the two days should find something for everyone. These range from beginner’s strategy sessions to understanding how you work and relate to others, how charity shops can make a difference to your bottom line. UK Fundraising’s Howard Lake will be talking about his experience of raising £200k for Colchester’s Roman Circus using Facebook and Twitter. If you work on your own, Susan Kay Williams may be able to help with her session on The Lone Fundraiser – what your ceo and board won’t tell you. Rob Woods looks at relationship fundraisers and how to make a positive difference to major donor fundraising. And do you think your organisation is too small to benefit from using social media? Well think again, and try Sally Chamber’s session on just that.
Prices have been kept to a level that all organisations can afford, so visit the website, www.ioflondon.org.uk and find the best sessions for you.
