Free charity legislation handbook from independent accountants and lawyers

Howard Lake | 1 November 2010 | News

The UK200Group of independent accountancy and lawyer firms has launched a free guide designed to help charities make sense of the increasingly complex legislation governing them.
‘England and Wales Charities: A Practical Handbook’ provides an introduction to the UK200Charities Group of charity sector experts and compiles reports produced by members, covering a wide range of topics. These include obligations under the Charities Act 2006, charity accounting and financial reporting, governance, tax, risk management, cross-border charities and fund-raising.
The handbook is not intended as a definitive guide to all issues arising from charity laws, but its publishers say that it is designed “to offer charities a starting point” and direct them to the relevant specialist who can provide the advice they need.
Established in 1986, UK200Group is a mutual professional association in the UK with over 110 UK quality assured independent chartered accountancy firms and lawyer firms, as well as 50 international associate member firms around the globe.
