Osocio, “the place where advertising and activism collide”, has announced its shortlist of the top 10 online social advertising campaigns by nonprofit organisations. The aim of the award is recognise grassroots initiatives and advertising campaigns that try to solve real-life problems, so that other nonprofit organisations can learn and benefit from them.
A small team of Osocio bloggers looked through every post that appeared on Osocio during 2009 to select ten nominees. In a week’s time the winners will be announced.
My favourite is probably the B’eau Pal campaign for the Bhopal Medical Appeal:

For the 2010 award Osocio are promising more opportunity for reader involvement in terms of voting.
Osocio is an inspiring site. It mixes beautiful and striking imagery with creativity and clear calls to action.
