New Duathlon event in Scotland to benefit Save the Children
The Mini-Monster challenge is a new Duathlon event (running and cycling) that is being held to encourage Scots families to get fit together. Held at Pollok Park in Glasgow on 22 June, the family fun day is aimed at people of all fitness levels and proceeds will go to Save the Children.
Hosted by transport company FirstGroup, the Mini-Monster is a spin off from the First Monster Challenge, the 120k team duathlon around the shores of the Loch Ness, which was launched last year and returns this September.
The entrance fee is £5 per person or £20 per family.
Other First Mini-Monster challenges will also be held in Leeds, Greater Manchester, St. Albans and Bristol in May and June 2008. FirstGroup will donate 25% of the £5 entry fee to Save the Children.
