Bright idea from NCVO

Howard Lake | 30 November 2007 | News

NCVO and Grass Roots is offering UK charities the opportunity to distribute free energy saving light bulbs to their beneficiaries and earning 5p per pack for doing so.

Energy-saving light bulbs can help some charities’ beneficiaries by reducing their power consumption and hence their bills, and improve their environmental sustainability. Grass Roots will either distribute the free light bulbs direct to a partner charity’s beneficiaries or supply a stock for the charity to hold. The latter would be suitable for organisations whose beneficiaries visit the charity’s premises.

The free packs of two energy-saving light bulbs are being distributed on behalf of Powergen. Only one pack can be supplied to each beneficiary and a minimum of 100 beneficiaries are required to participate in this scheme.

NCVO says that the 5p per pack distributed offer is only available for a short time.
