New Chair at Remember A Charity
Stephen George, Development Director for Legacy Fundraising at the NSPCC, has been appointed as the new Chair of Remember A Charity, the campaign by a consortium of over 140 charities to raise awareness of charitable legacies.
George’s role as Chair is to drive strategy through a steering group made up of charity members.
Remember A Charity, hosted by the Institute of Fundraising, aims to increase legacy income to UK charities and the number of people including a charity in their will.

Joining the NSPCC in October 1998 as Director of Community Appeals, Stephen George has also worked on the charity’s Full Stop Appeal. Formerly, Stephen was Head of Regional Fundraising at Unicef for three years, and also worked at Scope in a fundraising capacity for 12 years.
George said: “Over the next few months we will be reviewing our strategy to make sure we move to a step change in the behaviour of the will writing public. Often when we focus as charities on the things we can do together rather than apart we can make a real impact.”
