Greenpeace UK uses online affiliate network

Howard Lake | 9 November 2007 | News

Greenpeace UK has partnered with online affiliate network Affiliate Window to help drive direct debits and one-off donations.

Greenpeace is offering website owners who sign up to the programme £15 per direct debit donation and £5 per one-off donation that their sites generate for the organisation.

The programme has a 30-day click cookie, meaning that website owners will still qualify for the commission if the visitor doesn’t make the donation immediately.

Greenpeace, like other charities that have used online affiliate marketing, is careful to protect its brand online. It states that affiliates are not allowed to bid on any Greenpeace brand-related terms, including keywords such as:

Greepeace
Green peace
Green-peace
Greenpeace.com
Greenpeace.org
Greenpeace.co.uk

“and any mispells of the above terms”.

Greenpeace UK joins Sight Savers International and Christian Aid as charities/voluntary organisations currently using Affiliate Window. Christian Aid uses it to promote its Present Aid alternative gift catalogue.
