ICSA to host seminar on managing charities' reputation

Geraldine Peacock CBE, Chair of the Charity Commission will be the keynote speaker at a half day seminar on “Managing reputation in the Charities Sector” which will be held on 1 November 2005 in London. It is being run by ICSA, the professional body for company secretaries and senior administrative managers.
David Brindle, Public Services Editor from the Guardian, will be chairing the event which will discuss through presentations and case studies how a not-for-profit organisation can measure, manage and track its reputational risk profile. Damaged reputations can of course lead to revenue streams drying up, staff attrition and increased difficulty in meeting objectives.
The seminar coincides with the current progress through Parliament of the Charities Bill which will establish a new statutory definition of a charity, based on an organisation showing that it exists for public benefit.

The event will be held at Marlborough House, Pall Mall, London SW1Y 5HX on 1 November 2005. It starts at 15.30 and closes at 19.00. Seminar fees are £50 (plus VAT) for ICSA members and students and £75 to non-members.
