Royal Marsden Hospital uses podcast in fundraising campaign

The Royal Marsden Hospital has created a podcast to support its £2 million fundraising appeal to purchase a “Da Vinci S” surgical robot. The podcast was created by Chesham-based video podcast WebTV company pod3.tv.

“This interactive podcast brings the clickability and trackability of banner ads to podcasts” explained Neil Fairbrother, CEO of pod3.tv. “We’ve delivered an informative piece that explains the benefits that the “Da Vinci S” brings to cancer patients at The Royal Marsden Hospital and provided a response mechanism that takes the viewer directly to the Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign’s donation page.”

Isabella Douglas, Marketing and Communications Manager for The Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign, said: “The podcast has enabled us to inform our supporters on a new fundraising project in a new and exciting format. It allowed us to communicate complex surgical concepts in a detailed but easily understandable way and offered supporters the flexibility to tune in at their convenience.”
