New Zealand-based fundraising research specialists Saints Information have just published a review of fundraising databases from eight providers in the Australasian market, including the major
global providers such as ESit, Blackbaud, and ASI.

The reviews cover the key aspects of the products including:

* data structure for recording, tracking and reporting on your organisation’s fundraising activities

* ability to meet the needs of staff in different roles and locations

* IT platform (hardware and software) and minimum specifications required for successful data conversion and implementation

* other technical issues like security and ability to integrate with other systems eg. accounts department software.

* costs for set up, upgrades, training and ongoing support

It also includes two case studies with costs over three years.

The report took about three months to
complete and Louise Parkin of Saints Information said that it “will be updated and expanded regularly to incorporate the
wider UK market and specialist areas like Education/Development needs”.

The report is available in hardcopy only and costs $525 + GST (sales tax).
