Phone food photos raise funds for Action Against Hunger
Photos of food taken on mobile devices have helped raise funds for Action Against Hunger.
The winners of Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year were announced this evening at a reception at the Mall Galleries, London.
Entries to the Food Sn-Apping category for images taken on mobile phones generated funds for Action Against Hunger. Entrants donated £2 per entry. Lucy Pope won the top prize in the category with her shot Kids’ Table. The judges said:
“This picture is so vibrant and joyful. We loved its atmosphere.”
The presentation was compered by chair of the judges, journalist and food critic, Jay Rayner, and took place in front of more than 400 people at the Champagne Taittinger reception. Champagne Taittinger is also a supporter of Action Against Hunger.
Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year is “the world’s leading celebration of the art of food photography and film”. This was the fifth year that the awards have been held.
