Tesco launches Easter egg activity in support of Help for Heroes
Tesco is raising funds for Help for Heroes this Easter with an exclusive chocolate egg, a ‘guess what’s in the egg’ competition and a fun day.
The Help for Heroes chocolate Easter egg is available in 456 of its superstores and Extra stores across the UK with all profits going to the charity.
Tesco has also designed a giant six-foot replica for its Sandhurst Extra store.
Customers are asked to guess what they think is inside the egg with the winner receiving an annual family pass to Merlin attractions including Thorpe Park, LEGOLAND and Chessington World of Adventures.
Customers have until 10am on Thursday 24th March to enter, with entrants also being asked for a £1 voluntary donation to the charity.
The winning customer will be announced on the same day at the store’s Easter themed fun day in aid of Help for Heroes. The fun day will include the big reveal of what is inside the egg along with face painting, a magician and special performances from members of the Help for Heroes band.
Robin Terrell, chief customer officer at Tesco, said:
“The work of Help for Heroes has touched many of our customers and colleagues. As part of our on-going commitment to the armed forces, we’re honoured to be working with Help for Heroes and will be donating 100% of the profits from the sale of this egg to support the fabulous care they provide.”
