New Chairman at British Red Cross
Emergency response organisation, the British Red Cross, has appointed James Cochrane as its new Chairman of the board of trustees.
Cochrane is a trustee of the youth development charity Raleigh International and a board member of the Medicines for Malaria Venture and of the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
His career in the pharmaceutical industry has included working for Shell Chemicals, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Glaxo Wellcome PLC, from which he retired in 2001.

He takes up his post with the British Red Cross on 1 January 2007.
