Principality members raise £20,000 for Mind Cymru at AGM vote
Members of Principality Building Society, the largest building society in Wales, have raised £20,000 for mental health charity Mind Cymru through the organisation’s AGM voting process.
For every vote received, by post or online, for this year’s 155th Annual General Meeting, the Society made a donation to the charity.
Principality supports a different charity each year. The charity is nominated by a member of staff at the Society and then shortlisted among five others, before being voted as the official charity by staff at Principality’s Cardiff-based head office, 53 branches and 18 agencies across Wales and the borders.
In 2014, Principality raised more than £86,156 for its Charity of the Year, MS Society Cymru, a record total for the building society.
