Entries open for the 2015 DoGooder Video Awards

Has your charity or a supporter produced an outstanding and compelling video? The DoGooder Video Awards are once again seeking entries in order to showcase the best videos from organisations and individuals that help achieve impact for good causes.
Finalists are selected by a panel of expert judges and the most of the winners are decided by a public vote.
There is no cash prize, but the winning videos get their moment in the spotlight when they are showcased on YouTube’s popular Spotlight channel. In addition each winner will receive a free registration to the 2016 Nonprofit Technology Conference from NTEN.
The awards, now in their ninth year, were founded by See3 Communications. They are open to individuals and organisations in the USA, Canada, UK, Ireland and Australia. In other words, the countries in which YouTube’s Nonprofit Programme applies.
Organisations entering have to be a member of the YouTube Nonprofit Programme or to have submitted an application by the date on which applications close.

Four award categories

There are four award categories this year.
* ImpactX Award: the winner will the video that, in the view of the judges, has created the best impact. This will be based on the video itself and a short essay which explained how the video helped achieve impact and change the status quo.
* DoGooder YouTube Creator for Good Award: See3 and YouTube staff will judge this category based on three-to-four social good videos made by a YouTube creator, and the winner will be chosen by public vote.
* Best Nonprofit Video Award: the winner will be a video by an eligible nonprofit or charity and will be chosen through a public vote.
* Funny for Good Award: the winner will be chosen through a public vote for the video that uses humour and comedy most effecitvely to raise awareness and drive action around important social issues.
 
Videos must not be longer than 10 minutes, and they can be submitted between 12 January and 8 February 2015.
