Charitable giving campaign Legacy10 is inviting entries to its annual Award for Excellence.

This aims to recognise those who have contributed to legacy giving in the UK through innovation and service. The winner of the award will receive £5,000 for themselves and £5,000 for the charity which they represent.

The Legacy10 Award for Excellence was first awarded last year. This year’s entries close at 5pm on 17 October 2014.

The award is open to all legacy fundraisers working for a registered UK charity. It will be awarded not simply for raising the most money from legacies but to the individual who has been most innovative in their approach, establishing new or long term sources of legacy giving. The judges will also be looking for applicants who have had a positive impact on the legacy giving agenda outside their own charity.

About Legacy10

Legacy10 was established in November 2011, with a call to the British public to leave 10% of the value of their estate in their will to charity or charities.
