Nominations open for national fundraising awards
The Institute of Fundraising and Professional Fundraising magazine are calling for nominations of individuals and organisations that have demonstrated excellence in fundraising to be submitted for The Fundraising Awards 2006.
The Fundraising Awards celebrate outstanding achievement by charities, fundraisers and volunteers, and the winners will be announced at a gala dinner at the Hilton London Metropole on 10 July 2006.
The Fundraising Awards are open to charities, theatres, schools, arts organisations, hospitals and fundraisers themselves.

The Fundraising Awards campaign-based categories are:
· Best Direct Mail Campaign
· Best Use of New Media
· Best Use of the Telephone in Fundraising
· Best Face-to-Face Fundraising Campaign
· Best Use of Payroll Giving
· Best Use of Events
· Best Local or Community Campaign
· Most Effective Corporate Relationship
The Fundraising Awards personal or individual-based categories are:
· Best New Fundraiser of the Year
· Professional Fundraiser of the Year
· Volunteer Fundraiser of the Year
· Lifetime Achievement Award
There is no charge for charities/not-for-profit organisations to nominate an organisation or an individual for an award. Agencies, consultants and others will be charged £99 + VAT per nomination.
The deadline for nominations is 5pm on 20 March 2006.
