Laura Thomas, Policy and Standards Manager at the Institute of Fundraising, said: “With an increasingly affluent population and an increasing number of donors taking an interest in the stewardship of their gifts, major donor fundraising is a growing market for charities. The Code is an important step in providing major gift fundraisers with better ./guidance and reminding them about the relevant legislation – all in one place. “

The Major Donor Fundraising Code brings the number of Codes of Fundraising Practice published by the Institute to 25.
