40 London Marathon runners to win training day from expert running coach
Virgin Money Giving is giving 40 London Marathon entrants the chance to win a day being trained by expert running coach and founder of Marathon Talk and Jantastic, Martin Yelling.
At the training day, Yelling will be joined by some of the UK South Pole Allied Challenge team members who trekked across Antarctica to the South Pole with Prince Harry in December in aid of Walking With The Wounded.
The exclusive training day will be held on 22 February at Windsor’s Dorney Lake. Yelling will be joined by Allied Challenge team members Duncan Slater, Ibrar Ali, and Guy Disney, together with Walking with the Wounded co-founder Ed Parker and Expedition Manager Victoria Nicholson. All are taking on the Virgin Money London Marathon as their next big challenge.
To enter the competition, London Marathon runners simply need to set up a fundraising page for a charity of their choice on Virgin Money Giving, and receive a donation by 8 February. They will then be automatically entered into the prize draw.
Jo Barnett, Executive Director of Virgin Money Giving said:
“We are delighted to be able to offer all those taking on the Virgin Money London Marathon for charity this year the chance to receive some face-to-face training from national champion distance runner Martin.
“We are excited that winners will now also be joined by our friends from the South Pole Allied Challenge. Hopefully, the experience of the day will help and inspire them to make this year’s Marathon one of the best days of their lives, as well as making a huge difference to their chosen charity.”
The Virgin Money London Marathon takes place on Sunday 13 April 2014.
