New Chairman of Campaign Board at Historic Royal Palaces

Bruce Carnegie-Brown, Chairman of Aon UK Ltd, has been appointed Chairman of the Campaign Board at Historic Royal Palaces (HRP) the charity that looks after the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, the Banqueting House at Whitehall, Kensington Palace and Kew Palace.

The Campaign Board is responsible for leading HRP’s fundraising activities, in partnership with the Executive Team and Trustees.
Having served on the Campaign Board since 2007, Carnegie-Brown takes up his role from 1 January 2014, becoming a trustee of the charity at the same time. He succeeds Ian Barlow who is retiring after nearly six years in the role.
Second major campaign aims for £30m
The charity’s first major campaign was completed in 2012, and a new programme has been launched with the aim of raising £30 million by 2018. Pending major projects include the second phase of works at Kensington Palace, a new Magic Garden at Hampton Court, and the re-presentation of the Baroque Palace at Hampton Court.
Carnegie-Brown is also senior independent director at Close Brothers Group plc and at Catlin Group Ltd. He is a non-executive director at Moneysupermarket.com Group plc and Santander UK plc. He is a Trustee of the Shakespeare’s Globe Trust.
