First Fundraising miniCamp to run with Britain’s Personal Best
UK Fundraising is partnering with Britain’s Personal Best to run the first Fundraising miniCamp, a short, customised version of Fundraising Camp, UK Fundraising’s new series of unconference-inspired events for fundraisers.
The Britain’s Personal Best Fundraising miniCamp takes place at London’s Somerset House on 5 November. It is an invitation-only event for the first 18 charities to partner with Britain’s Personal Best. This is the 2012 legacy campaign that is designed to inspire individuals to achieve personal bests and support charitable work.
The two-hour event will feature some presentations from BPB staff, demonstrating the website’s new features, explaining how the campaign can fit with charities’ brands, and the announcement of a new element of the campaign.
But in the informal, participative style of Fundraising Camp, charity delegates are also being invited to make short presentations and share how their charity is making the most of the BPB campaign. For example, some are focusing on the fundraising opportunities while others are using it to promote volunteer recruitment.
Following the inaugural Fundraising Camp in Oxford last month, three more Fundraising Camps in Leeds, Canterbury and Chichester are open for booking. Other Fundraising miniCamps are under discussion.
