Halifax launches Giving Extra Awards

Financial services company Halifax is looking to give extra back to people who give extra in their neighbourhoods. The company is providing an opportunity to recognise someone who makes a positive difference in their community by nominating them for a Giving Extra Award. It could be the person who does the weekly shop for the elderly or who volunteers at the local scout group. People that make local neighbourhoods better places to live.
There will be 66 winners across the country who will each receive £250 of reward vouchers. Halifax will then announce a national winner who will be awarded £2,500 vouchers and a £5,000 donation to a local good cause.
The nomination period opens on Monday 4 November 2013 and closes on Friday 29 November 2013.
