More opportunities from this year’s Small Charity Week

Howard Lake | 10 April 2013 | Blogs

We've already announced Fundraising Day, part of the 2013 Small Charity Week, which runs from 17-23 June. But there are a number of other opportunities that should interest fundraisers at small charities, not least because they are likely to be responsible for other areas of that charity's work.

Win up to £600 in cash prizes

On the opening I ♥ Small Charities Day, sponsored by microdonations service Ploink!, small charities can encourage their supporters to help them win in three competitions, each offering £200.

There is a Facebook, Twitter and postcard competition, and the charities with the most messages of support generated on each medium will win the prize.

Volunteering

Use Volunteering Day to promote your charity's volunteering opportunities, whether for fundraising or other activities. The Small Charity Week team will promote the opportunities to as wide an audience as possible.

Fundraising quiz

We mentioned four fundraising opportunities, but there is a fifth – the Great Big Small Charity Quiz.

The Small Charity Week team is offering a free quiz toolkit to encourage as many fundraising quizzes (pub quizzes, school quizzes, community quizzes – every type is welcome) across the UK during Small Charity Week. The charity that runs "the biggest quiz" will win a £150 cash prize.

Get involved now

Although the week takes place in June, some of the deadlines for competitions and activities close in advance, so register sooner rather than later.
