NCH to benefit from Swimathon 2005

Children’s charity NCH is to be the main beneficiary from next year’s Butlins Swimathon, the world’s largest swimming fundraising event, which will be held in March 2005.
It is expected that over five hundred pools across the UK will be take part in the Butlins Swimathon between 19 and 27 March 2005. NCH hopes to raise £2 million from the event.
This will be the third year in a row that Butlins has sponsored the Swimathon.

The Swimathon was created by Olympic swimmer Duncan Goodhew in 1986, and over half a million people of all ages and abilities have taken part and raised over £20 million since then.
