Howard Lake | 6 October 2004 | News

Landmine-clearance charity Halo Trust is to receive a donation from sales of a new sandal based on those made by the Vietnamese from US Jeep tyres during the Vietnam war.

The Uncle Ho range of sandal will include a tyre-tread pattern in the sole, and will be sold at Birkenstock and Timberland outlets.

The sandals will be accompanied by other clothing and accessories and will go on sale shortly.
